Larry Montna
District 1

Larry Montna became the Sutter County Supervisor for District 1 in January, 1989 and served one term in that capacity, leaving the Board in January, 1993. He was re-elected Supervisor for District 1 in November 2004, and took office in January 2005.

Larry attended Barry School and Yuba City High School. He joined the U.S. Navy and attended school in Norman, Oklahoma and Millington, Tennessee. He was then stationed at Moffitt Field, Sunnyvale, California and was discharged with the rank 3rd Class Aviation Metal Smith.

Larry married his high school sweetheart, Norma, in 1959 and they had one son, Butchie, in 1961.

Larry is the owner of Muffler Masters / Montna Welding in Yuba City, and has been in business in the Yuba City area since 1976. He and his wife, Norma, have lived in Sutter County all of their lives.

His community involvement includes the Noon Kiwanis Club of Yuba City, Butchies Pool, and Kiwanis Family House, Sacramento.

His hobbies include cooking for charities, such as schools, and local fund raising events.
