Dan Silva
District 5

Dan Silva became the Sutter County Supervisor for District 5 in January, 2001. He was born and raised in Sutter County. He is a fourth-generation farmer, attending local schools. He has a B.S. in Botany and Ag Science and a M.S. in Plant Physiology from Chico State University. He and his wife, Candace, have been married 27 years and have two children.

Mr. Silva served one term as a member of the State Reclamation Board, and was part of the Governor's Flood Assessment Team in 1997. He has also served as a County Fish and Game Commissioner, an Assistant State Chairman for Ducks Unlimited, and as a member of the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau, as well as serving on numerous Committees of the Board of Supervisors.
