Provide Merchant Education and Training
Sutter County Tobacco Education and Prevention Program offers a comprehensive program
designed to educate tobacco retailers about tobacco laws, specifically the STAKE act.
Our goal is to eliminate tobacco sales to minors and reduce in-store tobacco advertising.
Give Presentations in the Community
Sutter County Tobacco Education and Prevention Program is available to educate the
community about the dangers of tobacco use. We will give presentations to various groups,
such as schools and community agencies, when requested.
Participate in Community Events
Sutter County Tobacco Education and Prevention Program participates in numerous community
outreach events. Some events that we are involved in include: Public Health Week,
Children’s Health and Safety Fair, and National Night Out.
Assist in Tobacco-Free Multi-Unit Housing
Sutter County Tobacco Education and Prevention Program provides owners/managers of multi-unit
housing education on the options to become smoke-free. We also provide education and support
to owners/managers interested in designating indoor and/or outdoor smoke-free areas at their
multi-unit housing units.
