Currently, only dogs are required to have licenses in Sutter County.

California State Law and Sutter County Ordinance requires that all dogs at the age of four months be currently vaccinated for rabies. Sutter County requires that at the age of four months all dogs must be licensed. Dogs may be licensed for one, two or three years depending on the length of current rabies vaccination.

To obtain a license one may go to the Animal Shelter located at 200 Garden Highway, Yuba City, CA 95991 or may mail the license fee along with the current rabies certificate to the address listed.
