American Red Cross
Our most urgent need is an ongoing role helping on the Disaster Action Team. These folks are called to home fires when the fire department deems the family will need our assistance. While the fire department handles the fire, we focus on the people. Our help may include financial assistance for food, clothing and lodging, emotional support, replacing prescription medications and other critically needed items. At this time we need at least 12 more people to get trained (free online training along with a few ride-alongs) to help the local community.
