Adults with no dependent children who have no other means of support, who meet restrictive income and property limits.

• For employable individuals Cal-JOBS, work registration and job search are mandatory.
• Incapacitated individuals must actively seek medical treatment as a condition of the program.

Applications for the General Relief Program are accepted Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm at our 190 Garden Hwy, Yuba City office.

Once an application is received, an interview completed, and all required verifications received a notice of determination will be issued.

If determined eligible to General Relief benefits the payment will be issued on an EBT card. Please keep your EBT card safe as that will be the EBT card you will continue to use when you reapply and are determined eligible to benefit programs.

Benefit payments are made on a monthly basis, it is necessary to reapply and meet all continuing eligibility requirements in order to continue to be determined eligible to the program.

If you plan to reapply for benefits, it is best to apply prior to the end of the month for the future month but benefits will not be issued until the future month if determined eligible.
